Witches, vampires, and skeletons, oh my!

The second annual Halloween trick or treat fest, sponsored by CAU's own Campus Activities board (C.A.B) was said to be the biggest and best event of the first semester, according to several Clark-Atlanta students.

The CAU promenade turned into a festive carnival as several campus organizations decorated with orange and black balloons, signs, and set up tables loaded with Halloween candy and various activities.

The promenade quickly filled up for the five o' clock p.m. event as children ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade arrived from local schools, churches, and groups, eager to fellowship with CAU students, as well as participate in the Halloween fun. Everything from angels to pumpkins, to children with scary masks and face paint shifted from table to table, enjoying music, food, fun, and games.

Over 20 campus organizations showed up for the event and were noted to be having as much fun as the children did, according to several on lookers. In attendance were: the Florida Club, Pre Alumni Council, Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior Class Councils, B.F.L.Y, the royal court, spirit boosters, WSTU, NAACP, Hypnotiq Dance Troupe, Women's Leadership Council, PRSSA, Hittsquad and Lady Hittsquad, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., and Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity for Women.

The first stop was pumpkin decorating with the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Next along the line was fortune telling by either Pre Alumni Council or NAACP. Wanted to hear a scary story? Sophomore Class Council had the remedy as they invited children six at a time to hear spooky Halloween tales with added props for the full effect.

After all that candy and baked goods provided by the junior class council cake walk, kids were bound to want to work it off. Who better to do it with other than Hynotiq dance troupe as they hosted 'Dance 101', or musical chairs with WSTU? Hungry again? Why wait? The look-a-like devils, cheerleaders, and super hero's fled to the PRSSA and Omega Psi Phi and court's table for scrumptious cookie decorating and eating, then relaxed while the men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and court did their face paint.
