CAU dedicates a day to civic activity

Cassanora Lampley, a junior psychology major at CAU said, "Even though the AUC can be divided at times. I'm glad we can come together on something as this election."

Many professors are urging students to be as active as possible during "Civic Engagement Day." They have asked students to assist senior citizens to the voting poll, or to be poll watchers. Georgianne Thomas, professor of humanities said, "I am impressed that [CAU] is participating and it's about time. It's great, however a few students from Morris Brown should also help with the polls. The hardest things will definitely be getting people out to the polls."

Although, many students are excited to participate in civil engagement day activities Dr. Brown said that students and faculty should be mindful of their safety.

"[Nov. 4] is going to very interesting with a lot of possibilities, there have been threats and we urge students to be in numbers and we request that experienced and knowledgeable members of our faculty and staff join students in these ventures," he said.

He added, "We expect students and faculty to participate in this day, class is outside of the classroom on the fourth."
