Shantrell Moss, SIAC player of the year, lead the Lady Panthers to an awesome season

Ranked No. 2 in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association (SIAC), the Lady Panthers (26-5) began their "Journey to the NCAA Tourney" in Alabama and ended it in the state right were they wanted. The state next door.

The Lady Panthers' magnificent season run gave them an at-large bid to compete in the NCAA's South Regional Tournament. The Lady Panthers faced the No.3 seeded University of Tampa Spartans. After a hard fought team effort, the Lady Panthers fell short of advancing to the second round in a 63-60 loss. Shantress Thrash led with 15 points and Moss and Jessica Wright combined for 28.

This season the Lady Panthers put on a successful run in several areas of the game. They finished with the SIAC Player-of- the-Year, a conference leader in rebounds per game, a sixteen game-winning streak, the first ever ESPN ranking (24) in CAU's history and most conference wins. in school history. Moss and Walker finished their collegiate career averaging 24.6 and 14.9 points a contest.
